Two things I know for sure in my years of being my own boss, of working with 100s of companies and 100's of people is this. 1, You do not have to wait to you are ready to make a big change in your life. 2, You most definitely do not have to wait until the people around you are ready. Ready never really happens, think about a runner at the starting blocks, if they were asked if they are ready I'm sure a lot would say 'give me a minute' but they never get asked they get told and then BOOM a shot goes off and they take off running. They make the move, ready or not because they feel they have to, the shock of the loud noise breaks the thinking pattern and they just do it. What is it you feel you should do? Is there anything in your week that you do without fail that actually is detrimental to your health? 'We always get a curry on a Saturday night' 'I always go for pints on a Friday after work' 'I always make sure to watch GoT' All of these are proof that you can set time aside that is non changeable, were you do something for you. Lets take the next week and see if you can start something that is never changing and positive. I would love to hear what changes you plan to make, let me know in the comments or by any other means. A lot of people are happy with things being good enough. Not willing to do that extra bit of work that takes them from good to excellent. The distance is not that far, the extra work is not that hard, what is hard is developing the mindset to be willing to go the extra distance.

When things are difficult or hard we tend to want to walk away, sometimes that is easy to do, sometimes it is not. If you can find away to not walk away from something you actually want, even of it is hard, you will be more fulfilled in life.

When you hide from negative emotions you end up training yourself to hide from positive ones as well. Not understanding how you feel and why you feel that way is not a good thing. If you have no understanding of your triggers and your emotions, you have very little chance of changing them. Take some time out, close your eyes and learn what your emotions are and what you can do to change them. It is easy once you know how.

Are you someone who thinks of a plan and then comes up with loads of reasons for why it will not work? When you are walking around your day to day life, do you see opportunities to grow or to shrink? More people fail at completing a goal or a project before it even gets out of their mind, they talk themselves out of it, with out even trying. Does this sound like you? If so, what are you going to do about it?

You have to judge a person by what they do, not by what they claim they will do. My mum had a saying when I was a kid, You'll do big things in your knickers, I always to this to be a call out of my bs. Everytime I hear someone come up with an excuse as to why they are starting something again, why they have stopped again for the 100th time and why this time will be different, I hear my mum say "You'll do big things in your knickers" Don't become one of those people.

Most people fall behind or slip up because they that the weekend off completely. It is great to rest and I'm all for it but not 2 whole days every single week. Set aside some time to do something productive towards your end goal every day.

Something I get asked a lot is. How do you not let the negativity affect you? The simple answer is I understand that the negativity is coming from other peoples opinions and they are entitled to have them but I do not have to take them on board. I use visualisation to stop them from getting in, I imagine I an inside the crystal tube from Superman that keeps everything out whistle empowering me (Superman) Someone else's negative opinion is not yours to hold on to, no matter how much they want you too.

I think the best thing about the world we live in now, is the ability to gather knowledge and skills. There is no reason to stay in a situation that you are not happy in. Don't settle for a set menu life, take advantage of the buffet.
